LAW is an award-winning, immersive experience that uses archaeological evidence to inform demonstrations of the region’s Native and Settler technologies and lifeways, including flint knapping, pottery making, spinning, weaving, hide tanning, breaking hemp, making rope, dancing, and games. Visitors learn about the area’s rich cultural traditions and gain insights into past people’s lives and experiences. Many demonstrations feature hands-on activities, and the event at Hoedown Island in NBSRP is family friendly and accessible. Friday is reserved for pre-registered school groups and Saturday is open to the public.
