Join us for s’mores and an intentional discussion with guest speakers Briana Mazzolini-Blanchard, Executive Director of the Urban Native Collective & Ann Wilkinson, a field archeologist local to the RRG!
When: THIS FRIDAY, May 23rd @7pm.
Where: Land of the Arches Campground (LOTA).
Who: The Access Fund Climber Stewards are hosting Briana Mazzolini-Blanchard and Ann Wilkinson to share in their respective areas of expertise.
We will be hearing from Ann about some of the fascinating archaeological discoveries of the area, and how they relate to the ancient history of Native American habitation of the Red. Next, attendees will gain insight from Briana about how to visit climbing areas with respect, using the principles from the Indigenous Field Guide she’s developed. You will also have the opportunity to hear more on how the RRGCC as land-managers understand the conservation of items with cultural significance.
