Come hang with us at Southeast Mountain Guides for our first gathering of the season: Rope Rug Weaving!
Got an old climbing rope lying around? Bring 30–40 meters of your retired rope and learn how to turn it into a cozy, handwoven rug! No rope? No worries—we’ll have a limited stash to share. Want to mix things up? Cut your rope in half and swap colors with a new friend to make a two-tone rug!
- Instruction provided (takes about 1–1.5 hrs)
- Bring a snack or drink to share if you’d like—it’s a great way to connect with the crew.
- Clean ropes are appreciated!
- Reminder: These are retired ropes—no climbing on them, please.
This event is free, beginner-friendly, and open to all. Come craft, connect, and celebrate summer with your climbing community!
