Living Archaeology Weekend - at Natural Bridge State Resort Park

It’s nearly Fall, and you know what that means…Living Archaeology Weekend 2024!

**MANY THINGS WILL BE THE SAME IN THIS, OUR 36TH YEAR**

Still the third weekend of September:
Saturday, September 21, for the general public

Our amazing demonstrators will still fascinate you!

The event is still free.

We’ll still have food concessions for purchase on Saturday from the Clay City Veterans Ladies Auxiliary.

BUT…2024 IS ALSO A YEAR OF CHANGE

LAW is MOVING!
The Gladie Center is getting some much-needed improvements, so come visit us at Natural Bridge State Resort Park’s Hoedown Island. Here’s a map to help you find your way to us this year: 2135 Natural Bridge Road, Slade, KY, 40376.

DIFFERENT HOURS
9 AM-4 PM EST Saturday

CHANGE IN LAYOUT
Demonstrators will be scattered along both sides of our “Trace to the Past” and across the adjacent Hoedown Island.

MORE TIME TO VISIT
The shorter drive to the event from the Mountain Parkway’s Slade Exit 33 means you’ll have more time to enjoy the event. The paved road and sidewalks will mean easier movement for wheelchairs and strollers. There’s even a Natural Bridge gift shop that will be open during LAW.

ADDITIONAL FUN
While you’re at LAW, you might consider taking a walk to Kentucky’s famous Natural Bridge, ride the Sky Lift, or visit the park’s Historic Nature Center.

Stay after our event on Saturday for the Park’s weekly “Natural Bridge Hoedown Dance” with line dancing, square dancing, and clogging (small admission fee).
